I have immersed myself in the medium of mosaics since 2002. I began exploring and experimenting with sculpture in 2004, when I first created small 3-D forms to incorporate into my mosaics. Recently, I have begun to move to creating larger scale work, mainly created with polymer-fortified concrete over steel or polystyrene armatures. I have studied this method under the tutelage of Sherri Warner Hunter, who is reknowned as a public and fine art sculptor and mosaicist.

I most enjoy creating out of the ordinary, rule breaking pieces that, like me, don’t quite fit comfortably into any conventional niche. I am inspired by the work of artists such as Niki de Saint Phalle, Antoni Gaudi, Simon Rodia, Laurel True, and Sherri Warner Hunter, among others.

Although I have a professional background in print media and web design, I am primarily a self-taught mosaic artist, and I now teach others the art of mosaic. I have created many different kinds of mosaics, ranging from small mirror frames, to fine art panels, to large sculptural wall hangings, to architectural installations and large outdoor public art projects. I have shown many of my works in both local and national juried fine art shows. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your commission ideas with you.

Please come visit me at my gallery/studio space in Libertytown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty Street, Fredericksburg, VA.

I conduct mosaic workshops at two locations: Libertytown in Fredericksburg, and Bluebird Stained Glass Studio in Stafford.

I serve on the Board of Trustees of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA). I am also a member of the Community Built Organization.

I live outside of Fredericksburg, Virginia, on a small farm with my 2 horses, 1 dog, 1 cat, and one husband. When I am not creating art, I cheer my husband and our dog Kosmo on at agility training and competition.
