I have immersed myself in the medium of mosaics since 2002. I began exploring and experimenting with sculpture in 2004, when I first created small 3-D forms to incorporate into my mosaics. This quickly evolved into creating larger scale work, mainly created with polymer-fortified concrete over steel or polystyrene armatures. I have studied this method under the tutelage of Sherri Warner Hunter, who is reknowned as a public and fine art sculptor and mosaicist.

I most enjoy creating out of the ordinary, rule breaking pieces that, like me, don’t quite fit comfortably into any conventional niche. I also excel at representing animals in mosaic art, and I specialize in customized mosaic pet portraiture.

Although I have a professional background in print media and web design, and education, I am primarily a self-taught mosaic artist, and I now teach others the art of mosaic. I have created many different kinds of mosaics, ranging from small mirror frames, to fine art panels, to large sculptural wall hangings, to architectural installations and large outdoor public art projects. I have shown many of my works in both local and national juried fine art shows. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your commission ideas with you.

Please come visit me at my gallery/studio space, Lark and Magpie, in Lakewood Wisconsin.

I conduct mosaic workshops at my Lark and Magpie Studio and Gallery in Lakewood, Wisconsin, and I also travel and teach at other locations.

I served on the Board of Trustees of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA), and am currently a professional member. I regularly teach workshops and seminar at the SAMA annual conference.

I live in the beautiful "Up North" region of Wisconsin, where I am constantly inspired by the beauty of nature and the warmth of the people.
